Residential house 1

It was built in 1926 in solid construction and was extensively renovated from 2002-2005 according to building biology aspects. Most of the existing wooden floors were retained and refurbished; 2 rooms were covered with cork and only the bathroom was tiled. The clay walls were re-plastered with clay and the existing wooden interior doors were renovated. New wooden windows with double glazing and roofing with clay roof tiles including insulation were installed. The half-hipped roof with mansard windows gives the house a special charm. Electricity, all pipes and bathroom newly installed in 2002.

Residence 2

The house was built in 1970 and has been repeatedly modernized over the years and accordingly has plastic windows (double glazing) on the first floor and partly on the upper floor and a new oil heating system (installed in 2015). The other windows on the upper floor (wood) and the bathrooms correspond to the state of the year of construction (partly in need of renovation).

Location
The property is situated in a scenic location between the towns of Rinteln and Hess. Oldendorf (both 9 km away) in the district of Schaumburg and within the Weserbergland Nature Park. The remaining farm is located outside the village of Wennenkamp on the edge of the forest. Due to its location on a district road, the property is nevertheless well developed and connected to local public transport. The bus stop is within walking distance (400m); kindergartens, schools and local amenities are just a few kilometers away.
Rinteln is a small town on the Weser with a population of around 30,000. With its historic old town, the town is popular with residents and tourists alike. The town has numerous shopping facilities and stores for daily needs, health services and all types of schools, including secondary schools.

The towns of Hameln and Minden are 25 and 19 km away from Rinteln respectively. The town of Rinteln also has good transport connections. The A 2 highway (Berlin - Hanover - Ruhr area) can be reached quickly via the Bad Eilsen junction; from there, the cities of Hanover and Bielefeld are approx. 60 km away. Rinteln is also on the Löhne - Hildesheim railroad line and has its own train station.
