The train station with S-Bahn connections to Hamburg city center and Buxtehude city center are approx. 1.5 km away. It takes about 35 minutes by HVV or Dt. Bahn to the main station in Hamburg. The federal highway 73 can be reached in two minutes.

The town of Buxtehude, with a population of approx. 40,000, is located in the Altes Land vacation region. It is known for its historic old town with half-timbered houses, St. Peter's Church and its narrow streets along the romantic Flethanlage with the cargo ship Ewer Margareta.
The town has a harbor, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a public library, cinema, cozy pubs and restaurants, numerous stores, schools and kindergartens, the Elbe Clinic and the train station.
