Location
The first settlers settled in Hopfach between 500 and 800 AD. Hopfach was first mentioned in documents in 1268 as Hopfau. Wine must have been grown in this suburb in the past. This is why the street name "Kelterberg" still exists today, as there used to be two wine presses there. There was also a mill. Today, the mill site has been converted into a large equestrian facility and the mill building into a residential complex. In recent decades, the development has been extended to include a building area on the southern slope. Those seeking harmony with nature can experience the flora and fauna in Hopfach, probably the quietest part of the village. The view over the village, the valley and the Bühler is best enjoyed from the southern slope.
Good connection to the highway, Wolpertshausen, Ilshofen and Schwäbisch Hall are not far away! Bus stop very close by!
