Information on equipment
The apartment was extensively modernized in 2014/15. In the process, the electrical wiring and the water pipes from the house connection were renewed. In the bathroom new tiles were laid and new sanitary items were installed. In the rooms and in the hallway a finished parquet floor was laid. In the bathroom and kitchen a beautiful terazzo floor was preserved.
The windows are insulating glass windows, probably from the 70s or 80s.
To the apartment belongs a big cellar storeroom (approx. 9 sqm) with window, as well as a storeroom under the roof.
The apartment is heated by a central heating and for the water there is an electric instantaneous water heater.
The bathroom has no window, but is properly ventilated by a supply air shaft and an exhaust air shaft.
The houses were (according to the previous owner) equipped with a thermal insulation composite system in 2004.
Location
Am Geistpförtchen is a cross street from the Mainkai (Mainkai is the much-discussed street on the Main, because of the plan to make it car-free). Strictly speaking, Am Geistpförtchen is not actually a street, but only a small footpath.
The immediate surroundings of the house can be seen in the pictures of the living room in winter: In the middle a street leads to the Römer,
on the right you can see the Schirn (an art and exhibition building), further ahead on the left a museum (the brick building). On the other side of the Schirn, the new old town already begins.
The Main River is also not far away (about 100 meters). But you don't have a view of the Main, only a view of the Main bridge (in winter on the Iron Bridge, which can be seen in the distance). Also nearby is the cathedral, as you can see in the pictures of the bedroom.
With the subway stop Römer you have a good connection to public transport, although you can reach much, such as the Zeil, also on foot.
