The entire apartment was completely renovated and modernized between 2018 and 2023 at a total cost of around 40000 euros. To improve the efficiency of the residential building, all roof windows on the 2nd floor were replaced in 2019 in accordance with the latest standards, as well as a new apartment door with sound and heat insulation and an arched door at the staircase to the 2nd floor from the living room on the 1st floor. To improve consumption efficiency, the 40-year-old gas heating system was replaced in 2023 with a new state-of-the-art gas heating system, which can also be converted to another type of fuel and is only in operation during the winter months, as the hot water supply to the bathrooms is provided by an instantaneous water heater that was replaced in 2019. The electrics of the apartment were conceptually revised in 2022 as part of a fundamental renovation (new switch box, RCD switch, etc.). The apartment has a fitted kitchen with dishwasher on the 1st floor. Unfortunately, only a small refrigerator is installed in this kitchen, the hot water for the sink is generated via a storage tank. The balcony has an awning installed in 2021, which covers the entire length of the balcony. In the living area on the 1st floor, modernization measures were taken with the involvement of an interior designer as well as specialist companies from the construction, electrical and carpentry sectors. For example, an existing guest toilet was removed in favor of the professional installation of a wardrobe unit with cupboard elements. The floors in the living room and the second large room on the 1st floor were replaced with vinyl flooring in 2021; the full bathroom is tiled on the walls and floor, and the fitted kitchen is also tiled on the floor. On the 2nd floor, hard-wearing laminate flooring has been laid in all corridor and room areas; the bathroom with shower is tiled on the walls and floor and has built-in storage spaces for towels etc. that are closed off by doors. In the largest room on the 2nd floor, a deep, multi-door wardrobe made by a carpenter has been fitted along the entire length of the wall to store clothes, linen, etc. Access to the third room on the 2nd floor is via the second room (through room), but all rooms are self-contained.
