Holzgerlingen is located on the Schönbuchlichtung, a few kilometers south of Böblingen. Distance to Tübingen via B 464 approx. 15 - 20 min. The stops in Holzgerlingen (Nord, Bahnhof and Buch) connect the town to the Stuttgart S-Bahn network via Böblingen.
