The town has a population of 8,496, including the surrounding municipalities and neighboring communities from other administrative districts. Together, these areas represent a potential customer base of 19,000 people.

The administrative offices of the town and the surrounding municipality are located next to each other and are accessible within 10 minutes on foot. Further shops are located in the surrounding area. The town is currently working to improve its infrastructure through various development projects.
