Heuchelheim an der Lahn is a municipality in the central Hessian district of Giessen and is located directly to the west of the district town of Giessen. The approximately 8000 inhabitants are divided between the two districts of Heuchelheim (5800 inhabitants) and Kinzenbach (2200 inhabitants). The two villages merged to form the municipality of Heuchelheim on April 1, 1967.
Heuchelheim is part of the Gleiberger Land cooperation, an area between Giessen and Wetzlar. The main town is located on the Bieber, only about one kilometer before it flows into the Lahn.

Life in old age in Heuchelheim - "As much care as necessary, as much comfort and independence as possible": The "Haus der Pflege" is implementing a completely new concept in Hesse, which is reflected both in the more spacious living space design and in the area of individual care. The Haus der Pflege has 81 care apartments, a house café, outpatient day care and an administrative area for the outpatient care service.
Any basic care and treatment services required, as well as meals and other domestic services, can be obtained individually and freely from a care service by the residents of the assisted living facility. The outpatient care service located in the building offers these services. Outpatient day care for around 75 visitors is provided for the residents of the apartments and the residents of the assisted living facility in the neighboring building.
