Built around 1580 as a town hall, the building burnt down to its foundations in the town fires around 1800 and was rebuilt as a town hall around 1850. From 1907 it served as a hotel and Ratskeller, which was operated by the HO until 1990 and then renovated by a private investor (1994 and ongoing) and has been run as a hotel and restaurant with a good reputation ever since.
On the ground floor there is the Ratsstube, 2 guest rooms with bar as well as ancillary and service rooms (kitchen etc.). On the 2 upper floors there are 21 hotel rooms, some of which can also be rented out as apartments/flats; corresponding intermediate doors and kitchen connections are provided by the customer. Electrical and equipment with connections in each room for Internet access points
have been installed, and most of the floor coverings have also been renewed in the last 4 years.
There is a certain maintenance backlog (rear roof, facade, approx. € 80,000)

The hotel has a long-term lease and enjoys a very good reputation for excellent Indian cuisine and affordable accommodation.
