Built in 1798, the baroque half-timbered farmhouse with barn was completely renovated and restored by the current owner in 1984/85/86 at enormous expense and with great attention to detail.
The listed building has a sandstone first floor and a half-timbered upper floor with a mansard roof. The former gable-sided barn entrance is now glazed and the round-arched entrance to the house bears the date 1798.
The approx. 350 square meters of living and usable space are spread over around 4-5 floors, which are accessed via a spacious open staircase. From the first floor, which can be used as a living room (approx. 50 sqm, with an open fireplace), a gallery, an office, a studio or an exhibition room, you descend one floor to the approx. 31 sqm sandstone vaulted cellar - also with a large open fireplace.
On the 1st floor there is a small apartment with approx. 50 sqm (2 rooms, shower-bathroom and small kitchen). The staircase also leads to the guest WC and the bedroom (approx. 42 sqm) of the main apartment with a large bathroom (approx. 10 sqm).
The open staircase then leads to the upper floors: living area of the main apartment with fitted kitchen, dining room, living room and study. The adjoining terrace (approx. 32 sqm) - also with an open fireplace - is separated from the living area by a fully glazed half-timbered structure. Approx. 2/3 of the terrace roof is glazed to the south.
The rooms are adapted to the style of the house and are partly tiled, partly laid with paving stones, wooden floorboards or carpeting.

Location
Stuttgart-Sillenbuch is one of the most popular districts in the south of Stuttgart and, together with Heumaden and Riedenberg, forms a district with around 24,000 inhabitants. Sillenbuch is perfectly integrated into Stuttgart's public transport system with both the light rail and several bus lines, and you can reach the city center within 15 minutes. It is also only 15 minutes to the airport and the highway.
Sillenbuch (15 minutes from the main station / 15 minutes from the airport) is surrounded by local recreation areas and numerous hiking and sports facilities such as soccer and tennis, and the well-known Bädle, a small outdoor pool with a very informal character, rounds off the offer. Sillenbuch has an excellent infrastructure thanks to a wide range of specialist stores and supermarkets, an ice cream parlor with cult status and cafés as well as pharmacies and doctors of all specialties. All types of schools are located here, including one of Stuttgart's largest grammar schools with a school garden and canteen and the German-French elementary school, as well as a Waldorf school and numerous daycare centers, some of which are privately run. The property is a 5-minute walk from the main shopping street, which is also home to the streetcar and bus stops. In addition, a small bus line serves this part of Sillenbuch with a direct feeder to the light rail.
