It is 3 km to the Schaalsee and thus to the nearest bathing area. Hollenbek is enlivened by its clubs, such as the shooting club, the DRK and of course the volunteer fire department. A number of events are organized by these clubs every year and bring the village to life. Hollenbek is a young village and many families with children feel at home here.
The restaurant, located in the middle of the village by the village pond, invites you to enjoy a cool drink and excellent food. An elementary school and a kindergarten are located in Sterley, 3 km away, and children are transported there by school bus.
A general practitioner, bank and shopping facilities are also available in Sterley, as well as in Gudow, 5 km away.
In Gudow (5 km away) is the highway access to Hamburg and Berlin. Hamburg can be reached via the highway in 30 minutes and from Büchen (20 km away) by train.
