The Knipprather Forest to the south, the Urdenbacher Kämpen nature reserve to the north and the miles-long Rhine floodplains to the west are ideal for active leisure activities in the form of long walks.
Fancy surfing or water skiing? The Langenfeld water sports center is very close by.
